Midtune Prompt is a native SwiftUI teleprompter for macOS 26. It combines a local script library, on-device voice following, a transparent camera-side overlay, mirrored external displays, a phone remote, and camera rehearsal recording. Ghost Mode creates a share window that excludes Prompt; share that window in your meeting app.

What Prompt does not do
- Ghost Mode protects its clean share window. It cannot hide a visible prompter from arbitrary whole-display captures on modern macOS.
- Voice following needs an on-device speech model for your chosen language. Voice activity and steady scrolling are available alternatives.
- Scanned PDFs need OCR before import. Rehearsal recording captures your camera, not the screen. Cue captions follow prompted words; Scribe can transcribe what was actually recorded.
- Apple Intelligence rewriting requires a supported Mac and enabled Apple Intelligence. Optional account sync supports 500 scripts, 512 KB per script, and 50 MB total. Conflicting edits are preserved as local copies.

Is Prompt a native Mac app?
Yes. Prompt uses SwiftUI and AppKit with local scripts, native windows, and on-device audio processing. It is not an Electron app.
Can I keep reading while screen sharing?
Yes. Turn on Ghost Mode and share the window named Midtune Prompt — Share this window in your meeting app. That window excludes Prompt. Sharing the entire display can still reveal your prompter.
Does the script follow my voice?
Follow my words aligns recognized speech to your script on-device. While I speak scrolls at your chosen speed during speech and pauses during silence. Neither mode uploads microphone audio.
Can the background be transparent?
Yes. Set background opacity from fully transparent to opaque, and optionally enable click-through to interact with the app underneath.
Is Prompt included in Business?
Yes. Every Business seat and Complete plan includes Prompt. On its own, it costs $3 a month billed annually ($29 a year), or $9 month to month, with the same education pricing and 14-day trial as the other Midtune apps.
Can I still access scripts after my trial?
Yes. Your local script library, editing, imports, and exports remain available. Prompting, voice features, recording, remote control, and Ghost Mode require an entitlement.
